NuFW is an "authenticating gateway". This means it requires authentication for any connections to be forwarded through the gateway.
NuFW can:
Authenticate any connection that goes through your gateway or only from/to a chosen subset.
Perform accounting and quality of service based on users and not simply on IPs.
Log user activities.
Dynamically change the Access Control Lists.
