The L2TP client software is included as standard with Windows 2000 and XP operating systems and is available as a free-of-charge download for Windows 98, ME and NT Workstation. The SmoothWall L2TP Wizard imports the x509 security certificates used to authenticate the connection and invokes the standard Microsoft Network Connection Wizard to complete the configuration of the VPN connection.
